Who are ness?

We are a small team of dreamers, artists and technicians trained in Architecture, photography, illustration, design, film and technology. Whilst we do not market our work you may find our illustration and photography work in publications including Wallpaper, Dezeen, The Sunday Times, The Architects Journal and Minamalist Magazine.

We are proud to have been awarded Architectural Photographer of the year 2022 by Minamalist & B&W Minamalist Magazine.

Ness was founded by Daniel Fisher who started working within AL_A’s in house team of talented visualisers. Working on projects directly within the architectural team gave a real understanding of the pressures and challenges faced within a design program and gave first hand experience of how visualisation can be a positive force from concept through to marketing the detailed design. Daniel then worked as a freelancer at London based visualisation studios including Pixel Flakes gaining valuable experience of how creative visualisation studios function as a separate entity. Ness set about to design flexible processes to support our collaborators and clients at all stages of the design process whilst incorporating our passion for image making. We feel lucky to have evolving long term relationships with practices and hold their needs at the center of our focus and professional development whilst constantly learning and challenging our respective areas of passion and intrigue.

Ness Studio is a small architectural visualisation studio with experience drawn from working both ‘internally’ within architectural practices and ‘externally’ within visualisation studios.   This unique blend of knowledge allows us to focus on both the needs of the architectural team and deliver an external image making studio facility.  Our forte is being able to establish nurturing, long-term relationships with our clients.


Interests and training outside of the distinct architectural process include photography, film, design illustration.
